Professional Learning Teams

Hillsmeade Primary School utilises Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) across teaching level teams. This year our teaching teams are led by PLT Leaders who facilitate rich, purposeful, collaborative meetings to meet the learning needs of students in their year levels. These teams meet weekly to have professional, data driven conversations about teaching and learning.

PLT Meeting

Hillsmeade Primary School uses vertical committee teams in the areas of:

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • ICT &¬†Assessment
  • Science
  • Welfare

These teams include a member from each year Level PLT and are led by members of the school Leadership Team. These teams meet regularly within staff meeting time to prioritise, action and implement a range of whole school priorities. These vertical teams allow for rich collaboration across a large staff to ensure consultation, collective commitment and consistency.
