I began my teaching career twenty-two years ago as a secondary music teacher before leaving the teaching profession to join the Royal Australian Navy as a professional musician. For the following fifteen years, I toured around Australia and internationally performing music at ceremonies for many heads of state including the Royal family, the President of the United States of America and the Sultan of Brunei. After leaving the Navy, I became a classroom teacher, before joining the physical education department in 2020. I greatly enjoy assisting with the provision of the wide variety of sporting and physical activities that we offer the students at Hillsmeade Primary School, including swimming, cross country, athletics, interschool sports, and the extensive range of sports covered in our physical education lessons.

I have been an educator for ten years now. Starting my teaching in grade 3, I’m excited to join the specialist team in 2024 and instil a lifelong learning of physical education at Hillsmeade. From a young age, I’ve enjoyed being active, participating in gymnastics and netball as a child. I enjoy competing in aerial gymnastics and participating in the F-45 fitness community. I’m so excited to have a female P.E. teacher at Hillsmeade, and I look forward to helping every child find a love of keeping fit and healthy. For those who don’t know, I love Taylor Swift, my favourite colour is PINK, and I love my fur babies, Prince and Nelly.
