Lesson Information

Listen to the song the ants go marching:

  • Pat your knees in time to the beat.
  • Next, think of actions to match the words.  For example: tying shoe, climb a tree, shut the door.
  • Practise the actions and march along to the music.
  • Make sure that you perform the song to a member of your family.

  • Think of as many ways as you can to make body percussion sounds on your body.

  • Watch again and join in with the activity.
  • Show a member of your family how to make body percussion sounds.

To sing the familiar nursery rhyme ‘Old MacDonald had a farm’

Lesson Information

  • Sing the song ‘Old MacDonald Had a farm’ – adding actions for the animals and the Banjo or Violin playing.
  • Can you add your own animals to the song. For example – Old MacDonald had a farm and on that farm he had a dog E-I-E-I-O.  With a woof woof here…..
  • Sing your song to a member of your family.
