Lesson Information
Background – all about the artist Kandinsky
- The artist Kandinsky compared painting to making music, each colour reminded him of a musical instrument. In this project you can draw shapes, lines and scribbles on the screen and hear them turned into sound. Watch this youtube clip to learn about the artist Kandinsky:

Experiment with drawing a picture
- Draw a picture using shapes and simple patterns onto the screen using your mouse (laptop) or finger (iPad). Watch how the picture turns into music.
- Now make some changes to your music or create a new piece of music. Try adding new shapes, changing the colour, add lines at different heights on the screen and listen to the sounds.

Lesson 9
Learning Intention
To learn an Ekaki Uta (a Japanese drawing song).
Lesson Information
- Watch the instructional video and draw along with the Pig drawing song.
- Draw long to the dog chant.
- Now challenge yourself and learn one of the songs and ask a member of your family to draw along with you.

- Find objects around the house to add sound effects to accompany the story.
