Learning Intention
To explore the effects of water on soil over time.
Lesson Information
Steps to follow:
- Get a glass jar/plastic cup, fill it with a few scoops of dirt/soil, some water, and something to mix it with.
- Mix it all together and leave your experiment in a safe space for a week.
- Take notes over the week on what you can see happening.
At the end of the week, write what happened to the water and soil, and a reflection on your experiment.

Steps to follow:
- Go for a walk around your house or in your backyard.
- See if you can find any signs of erosion in your neighbourhood.
Take photos of the erosion and write about how the erosion took place.
